Why the ranges, not hard limits
- Google doesn't count characters — it measures pixel width, and it will sometimes rewrite your title or description entirely if it thinks a snippet from the page answers the query better. Staying inside these ranges just improves the odds it keeps what you wrote.
- The social card needs its own
og:title,og:descriptionandog:imagetags — copying the SEO title and description into them usually works, but the image is a separate 1200×630 asset most pages forget to set.
